Creating a Supervision Practice That Reflects You
If you've ever thought about offering supervision but felt held back by imposter syndrome, uncertainty about where to start, or questions about whether you're "qualified enough" - you're in the right place.

You're a social worker who is:
You might also be from another helping profession (nursing or counselling or NDIS) — feel free to reach out and we can chat about fit.
This training might not be for you if...
You're looking for a quick-fix certificate without the reflective work, or you want recorded sessions you can watch passively at 2x speed. This is a live, relational, small-group experience that asks you to show up, engage, and do the inner work of clarifying who you are as a supervisor.
By the end of six weeks together, you'll have:
✅ A Supervisor Identity Statement — clarity on your values, strengths, and what makes your supervision approach uniquely yours
✅ Practical tools and templates — supervision agreements, session agendas, log templates, feedback frameworks, ethical guidelines, and sample policies
✅ Confidence in the fundamentals — supervision frameworks (without the jargon!), how to structure sessions, give feedback, and navigate tricky moments
✅ A supervision practice plan — concrete next steps for offering supervision, whether in your workplace or private practice
✅ A toolkit for trauma-informed, inclusive, ethical practice — grounded in AASW Code of Ethics and Practice Standards (particularly Standard 8: Supervision)
✅ 15 CPD hours — recognised by AASW as Category 2 professional development, with a certificate of completion
✅ Connection with peers — in a small group (capped at 15) where you can ask newbie questions, learn from experienced supervisors, and feel less alone in the journey

Here's the thing: you can learn all the models and frameworks in the world, but if you don't know who you are as a supervisor — your values, your strengths, your unique offering — supervision will feel like you're performing someone else's script.
Participants in this training consistently report the same transformation:
This series helps you move from uncertainty to clarity, from imposter syndrome to confidence, and from overwhelm to having a plan.
Week 1 – Foundations of Supervision
Explore supervision functions, your current relationship with supervision, and what shapes a good supervisor.
Week 2 – Your Supervisor Identity
Dive into your values, strengths, and the unique lens you bring. Begin crafting your Supervisor Identity Statement.
Week 3 – Supervision Models & Frameworks
Understand key supervision approaches and how to structure meaningful sessions (without getting lost in theory).
Week 4 – The Nuts and Bolts
Practical skills for supervision agreements, agendas, documentation, feedback, and navigating challenges.
Week 5 – Trauma-Informed & Inclusive Supervision
Creating safe, ethical, reflective spaces that honour diversity and complexity.
Week 6 – Your Supervision Practice Plan
Bring it all together: where will you offer supervision? To whom? What's your next step? You'll leave with a plan.
This creates the safety, confidentiality, and full engagement that makes real reflection possible. Plus, how many times have you downloaded a training and never actually done it? This format keeps you accountable, connected, and learning in real time.
You'll still receive summaries, handouts, and reflective prompts if you need to miss a session.

Absolutely. Experienced supervisors often attend to refresh their approach, reconnect with their "why," explore updated models and tools, and prepare for credentialing or expanding their practice. Several experienced practitioners joined the last cohort and found it invaluable for reflection and realignment.
This series creates space for refinement and renewed energy in your supervision practice - no matter how long you've been doing it.
You're in the right place. Many participants join at the stage of thinking about supervision. This series will help you understand what supervision is (and isn't), clarify your confidence and capabilities, and begin planning how, where, and for whom you'd like to offer supervision.
As one participant shared: "I still suffer from imposter syndrome! But I feel more confident about pursuing this."
Yes. You'll receive a certificate of completion for 15 CPD hours, recognised by AASW as Category 2 professional development. This counts toward your annual AASW CPD requirements.
Each session runs for 2.5 hours (with a break), across six Tuesday nights from February 17 to March 24, 2026, 7:00–9:30pm AEDT.
This is a live, relational, reflective group learning experience. Sessions are not recorded. This maintains confidentiality, encourages full engagement, and supports the creation of a safe, connected learning space where you can ask questions in real time.
You'll still receive summaries, handouts, and reflective prompts to support your learning if you can't make a session.
Yes! You'll receive a comprehensive resource pack, including:
