Participant in the “Supervision: It’s all about Me” research
Are you getting enough?
OK this one is obvious, but if you are working in the ‘helping industry’ as either a Social Worker or Allied Health professional, in Community or Human or Disability Services or Aged Care – whether it’s mandated by your regulating body or not.
You need supervision!
Your practice will benefit, your clients will benefit, your professional contentment will benefit and chances are, your career longevity will definitely benefit.
Sounds pretty good right?
Professional supervision is an opportunity for reflection, discussion and support. In 2011, I researched and wrote about supervision in a Master of Social Work (Advanced Practice) thesis - “Supervision: It’s all about me”.
In this research I found that practitioners who had regular professional supervision flourished in their practice and their profession.
I've attended training in supervision models and have extensive experience providing professional supervision to social workers, allied health professionals, counsellors, community workers, disability workers, aged care workers and social work and counselling students.
My supervision style is reflective, supervise centered, supportive, and located in your practice framework.
I'm also an Accredited Social Work Supervisor with the Australian Association of Social Workers, which can be helpful for social workers seeking their own accreditation status or completing their CPD requirements.
Navigating your career can be tricky. Workplace conflict, loss of confidence, performance pressure
and unrelenting caseloads can quickly stifle our passion for helping people.
I can help you focus on the areas that drain you to become your best professional self.
I'm based in Tasmania and offer face to face sessions in the North of the state,
all of my other clients catch up with me via Zoom.
